Kayla, a chocolate and cream dachshund, now runs freely in heaven. Vic, her younger brother, is a 15-year-old dapple dachshund who continues to teach me, every single day, what presence, resilience, and unconditional love truly look like.
They were gifts from the universe — not owned, but entrusted. Through them, I learned how love can be quiet yet absolute, fleeting yet life-defining. Loving them reshaped my understanding of care, loss, and devotion in ways no words could fully articulate.
This project is my way of continuing that relationship — allowing love to take another form, and to move beyond the personal. Through art, what began as an intimate bond extends outward, becoming a space where memory, responsibility, and compassion quietly coexist.
